Remuneration
Our compensation practices adhere to the following principles:
Competitive salaries I Internal equity
Remuneration is based on several factors:
- Nature of work: more complex and specialized roles command higher salaries.
- Responsibility and complexity: positions with greater decision-making authority or management responsibility tend to receive higher pay.
- Skills and qualifications: in-demand or niche skills, along with certifications or licenses, lead to higher compensation.
- Industry-specific standards: salary levels align with norms in the railway and infrastructure sectors.
- Supply and demand in the labor market: market conditions significantly impact pay rates.
Accordingly, salary levels for specific positions are aligned with the European market. Market competition largely dictates the compensation for both employees and board members. Depending on the role, competition may be international, requiring RB Rail AS to compete for candidates in the global market, where salaries often exceed the Baltic average.
RB Rail AS regularly reassesses job positions every two years to remain competitive in the labor market, support employee satisfaction, and drive performance and professional growth. We employ Job Mapping methodology to ensure fair and competitive compensation practices, benchmarking against industry standards.
