Today the Supervisory Board of RB Rail AS has approved the resignation of Kaspars Rokens from his position as the Chief Operating Officer of RB Rail AS. He leaves the company for private reasons.
Commenting on the contract termination, Karolis Sankovski, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said: “We are grateful for Kaspars’ contribution during an important period of the Rail Baltica project implementation. Supervisory Board’s priority is to assure the smooth and target-oriented coordination of the Rail Baltica project, and it is therefore looking for a new Chief Operating Officer.”
“I am grateful for an opportunity to be involved in the development of the project and reaching the detailed technical design phase. With the support of the team of professionals, an effective and transparent procurement system has been set up, which meets international procurement standards and attracts the interest of well-respected international companies,” said Kaspars Rokens.
A recruitment process focused on the earliest possible appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer is expected to be announced shortly. Until then, the responsibilities of the COO are taken over by other Management Board members.
