Rail Baltica joint venture RB Rail AS has announced an open competition for the position of the Chief Program Management Officer. The application process is run by an independent recruitment partner “EWI Recruitment” and is open until June 19, 2022.
Chief Program Management Officer (CPMO) will oversee the coordination of the three Baltic countries cross border railway project’s master plan, implementation activities, and delivery of the project. The core role includes developing and rolling out project management methodology in close cooperation and engagement of the national implementing bodies to ensure the delivery of the project on time and on quality.
Jointly with other Management Board members, the CPMO will take full responsibility for RB Rail AS day-to-day management in line with the applicable legislative acts, Shareholders’ Agreement, statutes, Management Board Regulations, strategy, and corporate targets as approved by the Supervisory Board as well as binding agreements.
“The Rail Baltica project is maturing across all Baltic countries and has approached the large-scale construction phase. However, given the external challenges such as current geopolitical events, price fluctuations, and resource availability, and the fact that at the same time cross-border and EU significance of the Rail Baltica Global Project is increasing, it is critical to ensure high-quality project planning and implementation, which will be one of the key priorities for CPMO,” said Agnis Driksna, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board at RB Rail AS.
Candidates must provide a proven track record of the ability to cooperate with a variety of stakeholders, forming diplomatic relationships both internally and externally, international experience in a managerial role on a multibillion-euro megaproject, ideally including cross-border components, previous experience of delivering Rail (preferably high-speed) from Design, Construction through to Operation, Strong knowledge of Program and Project Management methodologies, tools and processes, develop a strong overview of the project and the deliverables while retaining ‘hands-on’ responsibility and motivating the team.
