Rail Baltica participated in InnoTrans 2024 from September 24–27, marking a strong presence at the largest edition of the event to date. With 2,940 exhibitors from 59 countries and approximately 170,000 visitors from 133 countries, InnoTrans 2024 featured 42 exhibition halls, providing a valuable platform for industry discussions.
The Rail Baltica stand attracted a diverse audience, including existing project partners, potential suppliers, media representatives, and other stakeholders. During the exhibition, many questions were raised about the progress and key priorities of the Rail Baltica global project, and the overall interest allowed the Rail Baltica extended team to address relevant questions and provide insights into ongoing efforts.
Additionally, Rail Baltica representatives engaged in discussions with other major infrastructure projects, such as the Brenner Base Tunnel and the Lyon-Turin High-Speed Rail, along with other partners. These conversations focused on potential stronger cooperations for securing additional financing to address shared challenges.
Marko Kivila, Interim CEO of RB Rail AS, emphasized the value of participating in InnoTrans. “This event allows us to connect with partners and stakeholders who are crucial to our project’s success – all in the same event,” Kivila said. “As we move forward with construction, these relationships will help shape our path ahead.”
With construction contracts signed for a significant portion of the mainline and active work underway in Estonia and Lithuania, Rail Baltica continues to make progress in enhancing connectivity across the Baltic region.
