In the last days of November, the Rail Baltica team actively participated in Rail Live, Spain’s premier rail event, which hosted 7,000 rail professionals and served as a platform for gaining market insights, exploring industry innovations, and fostering new business partnerships.
Key activities included meetings with railway industry partners and interested parties in the project, such as IDOM’s CEO, Ignacio Rey, and RB project director Iban. High-profile meetings included sessions with CPK CEO Mikołaj Wild, Alstom’s Business Development Director Nicolas Andrieux, and Daniel Frey, Assistant Vice President Structuring and Origination at KfW IPEX-Bank. The Rail Baltica team engaged with global experts like Ian Koeppel, International Transportation Manager of ESRI, and Siemens Mobility GmbH’s Dr. Oliver Reichard, Vice President Sales Mainline. Discussions were also held with Gemma Salazar, VP Strategy, Marketing & Technical of the Main Line Business Line, and representatives from Thales and SatSense. Additionally, the Latvian Ambassador to Spain attended a presentation on project progress, emphasizing Rail Baltica’s presence with a dedicated stand at the event.
The Rail Baltica team actively contributed to the conference, with Emilien Dang, Chief Technical Officer and Management Board at RB Rail AS member taking part in a panel discussion on future infrastructure. Additionally, partner presentations provided by our experts offered a deep dive into Rail Baltica’s ENE subsystem key elements and the consolidated construction materials supply approach for the project, as well as global project updates in general. Thanks to our esteemed colleagues for committing to nurturing our existing partnerships and keeping an open sight when it comes to approaching new potential partnerships!
