The Joint Venture of the Baltic States, RB Rail AS has completed a tender for the evaluation of construction project solutions and construction expertise for the Rail Baltica line in Estonia and Lithuania. The contract has been awarded to a consortium, consisting of 3TI PROGETTI ITALIA S.p.A. (Italy) and YUKSEL PROJE A (Turkey). The value of the contract for Estonia is 1 529 233,91 EUR; and for Lithuanian – 686 808,45 EUR. Procurement for the Latvian section is still ongoing.
Both contracts start during the early Master Design stage and continue throughout the end of the Detailed Technical Design. According to the contract scope, design review and design expertise services will be carried out to ensure full compliance with the Rail Baltica Design Guidelines as well as local legislation requirements. Design review and design expertise services will be carried out for each design priority section and construction object or packs of construction objects.
The expertise service provider will evaluate and determine the compliance of the design, its content, volume and technical solutions with the requirements of the Detailed Technical Design Technical Specification, building permits, affected party technical conditions, local legislations acts, technical regulations and other applicable standards. The duration of the contracts is 24 months for Lithuania and 27 months for Estonia.
Design review and design expertise procurement for Latvia is still ongoing. On 21 July RB Rail AS will organize the meeting with potential suppliers and 28 July is the deadline for the proposal submission in this tender. More information available here.
